I just signed up a couple of days ago, I never received the confirmation email (I read some similar forum topics about this), but apparently I am registered anyway. I have uploaded 3 torrents, I can login, and my user name is displayed on the right side of the screen on the homepage. Note: I am not referring to the fourm but to the main site.
My question is, how do I view my user profile? I can't find any options anywhere to view or edit it. I see a default avatar with my user name onscreen but there is no option to click on it to vew details.
Also, when I first uploaded my torrents, they appeared in the Latest Torrents section on the home page. But, now when I search for them, they don't show up in any of the searches. Were they removed?

I've made three uploads (my first uploads of all time!). They are:
Seven Star - My Mother and Father were Astronauts
Kurt Rosenwinkel Pack - East Coast Love Affair, Intuit, and more (I think that was the exact name)
Stereolab- EPs and Singles
They were all music. Does the content here need to be AAC files, or are mp3 okay? I use AAC on my iPod, but most of the torrents I download are mp3 format, so I figured I would post them as mp3s since it seems to be more common.
ADDED: I thought that I would add that when I search for the torrents on isohunt, the search results list that there is a "Podtropolis Verified" version. Also, I created isohunt releases for these same torrents, as well as on a few other sites TPB and TB. Is this good or bad idea? I was thinking that the more sites they were on, the more people would find them.

Is this you?
AAC format is OK since it plays on most portables.
As for releasing on ISOHunt, it may get you more attention, but IH is an indexing site.
This means all torrents are listed. 8)
Podtropolis verified means it was scraped from this tracker.

Yes, that's me.
The page you linked shows the torrents I uploaded, but, when I try to search them from the Podtropolis tracker site, they don't show up in any searches. However, as I mentioned, searches on isoHunt will return a Podtropolis verified version and an IsoHunt release version (I uploaded to both sites). I'm confused on why they won't show up on this site when I search them.
Also, I wanted to view and edit my user profile, if that is possible, but I don't see any option to do that, except here on the forum which is separate from the tracker site, right?

Yes you're right, for some reason they showed as "invisible".
Don't know why this happens but I changed them to visible now.
Isohunt is a very popular search engine so when you can find your uploads on Isohunt then it's good.
And yes forum and main site are separate.
But for uploading you realy don't need a profile as long you can upload everything is fine.

Awesome, thanks.
When I arrived to the home page just now, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my Kurt Rosenwinkel torrent was displayed in the 2nd position on the latest torrents section. It also shows up in searches. Although, my other two torrents, "Stereolab - EPs and Singles" and "Seven Star - My Mother and Father were Astronauts" still don't show up in searches.
But, I suppose it is a good sign that my torrent client, Transmission 1.91, shows that there are seeders, leechers and downloads through the Podtropolis tracker for these torrents, even though I can't seen to find them myself on the site.

Hmmm I think I know why the other 2 still don't show.
It's because, according to the tracker, that there are no seeders and/or leechers.
There has to be at least one and it oesn't matter if it's a seeder or leecher.

Okay, that makes sense. I read in another forum discussion that, after uploading a torrent to Podtropolis, you should download that torrent and seed it instead of the original one created in your client program. I had been seeding the ones created from my client.
Just one more question, I hope, if I seed the torrent I download from Podtropolis, will people who download the torrent from other sites, such as The Pirate Bay or isoHunt, still be able to download it from me?
Again, thanks, I really appreciate your willingness to help!

Yes they will and if you want to add some open trackers with the PT Tracker to your torrent at the time you make it you can, and this will help in getting the torrent going also as some trackers are not online or have invalid data, below are four open trackers you can add to your torrent file to ensure it will get going when people download the torrent and start it in their torrent client. ![]()
List below:

Sweet! Thanks for the suggestions. I had already used the denis and publicbt trackers in the torrents I created previously. I'll be sure to include the other one when I figure out what torrent to I should make next.
That's all the questions I have, for now at least.
Thanks for the help!

Ohh when you copy/past the tracker list then don't forget to have a blank line between the trackers.
http://torrent-download.to:5869/announce http://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce.php http://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce http://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce
When not then only the first one will be used.
When the first timeout then the next will taken.
With a blank line, all the trackers will be connected.
This works with µtorrent but probably also witll all other torrent clients
Here's another little example using also udp trackers (if they exists)
udp://torrent-download.to:5869/announce http://torrent-download.to:5869/announce http://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce.php udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce http://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce udp://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce http://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce

I typically use Transmission as a client on my Mac for torrenting and it has an Add/Remove interface for setting up trackers for a new torrent file, but I do use uTorrent on my PC so that's some info that will be good to know if I find myself creating a torrent using it.
I don't know if there is a mechanism for closing forum threads, but I think this one could be considered solved.
Thanks all!
